I live in Cardiff, where I'm a dad, a social justice activist, and an academic. I've campaigned on a bunch of different issues since 2001 when the start of the war in Afghanistan made me realise it's no use complaining about everything that's so immensley wrong with the world without taking autonomous grassroots political action. I'm currently a trade union rep, and an editor here at Radical Wales. In the past I've been active in the anti-war movement, and in a bunch of other campaigns against: the arms trade; the various excesses of consumerism and global capitalism; the creeping effects of our surveillance society; the way we're frying the planet; and the often sickening injustices routinely doled out against migrants in the UK.
