Born and bred in the South Wales valleys, I have been around ‘rebellious’ politics for over thirty years. Punk gave me a healthy lack of respect for authority in the 70s, which turned into anti-racism and anti-war activism in the 80s. Disgust at the antics of Thatcher and her cronies drove me into the arms of the far left for a while; before getting involved with more libertarian anti-capitalist groups as I tired of selling papers on the streets and towing the party line.

These days most of my energy is focused on trade union activism; a mixture of representation (collective and individual), publicity work, and training new activists; but I try to spare some time for a bit of radicalism and hanging out with undercover cops when I have the energy.
