I am an education worker, who has lived in West Wales for many years. I grew up in South Africa during Apartheid; here I was introduced to ‘extreme’ ideological positions on both the left and the right, and also encountered in a concrete sense the meaning of ‘the state’. 

As a trained arts practitioner, I am particularly interested in the political, psychological, and social relations that pertain between culture as institution and political power. I would describe myself as holding post-anarchist views. 

I have been involved over the years with various activist groups campaigning on animal issues, environmentalism and social justice. I am currently involved with Aber Students Against the Cuts
