I was born in Newport at the Royal Gwent Hospital, and have lived in Newport for most of my life.  At university I studied Electronic Engineering and now work for a well known telecoms firm.  At university I motivated fellow students to protest against the introduction of tuition fees.

After graduation, I continued to organise, often with the help of the Socialist Workers Party.  I attended counter demonstrations when the unwelcome English Defence League threatened to appear in Newport and then did appear in Cardiff.

In spare time I would often help with the family business Ferris's Cafe, which is now under new management.
